Measure R Finance Committee

Purpose: The Measure R Finance Committee was created to make recommendations on financial funding issues to ensure that revenue generated by the transportation sales tax is spent in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Meeting Report: The Measure R Finance Committee in 2010 and recommended that the committee meet with local lending institutions to review short term lending for Regional Measure R Projects. The only funds that may be borrowed against are Measure R Regional funds, which make up 50 percent of Measure R. The Measure R Finance Committee is seeking to maximize the use of these funds by using short term lending to deliver projects as early as possible.

For information on the committee, Ramon Lara (559) 624-7269, e-mail.
