Local Measure R funding to date: $2.25 million

The City of Tulare has improved street surfaces throughout the community with funding through the local funds category of Measure R.

Clean Air Projects

The Santa Fe Trail has undergone improvements, also, through the Clean Air category, including an enhanced railroad crossing, lighting, trailhead improvements, the connection to Tulare’s new library and a traffic signal where the trail crosses Mooney Boulevard at Cross Avenue.

The Santa Fe Trail is a regionally significant commuter/bike project that will link Visalia and Tulare.

Regional Projects

Tulare has also benefitted from the
Regional Projects
category:
  • Road 108 (Hillman Street).
  • Grade separation, Cartmill and State Route 99.
In addition, Measure R made possible the pre-emption of traffic signals for Tulare Intermodal Express (TIME), Tulare’s transit system.
